Marc and Annie Filion from Keegan-Filion Farm are as much a part of our lowcountry farming culture as our friends at Green Grocer and Ambrose. Her pasture-raised, grass-fed and antibiotic free meats find their way onto many area menus and into the home kitchens of many a Charlestonian. We primarily use Keegan-Filion because of their free range chickens, which many a customer comments that it is the best chicken they have ever tasted, but Keegan-Filion also raises pork, beef, and chicken eggs. Our Pastry Chef, Caroline, participates in their meatshare (CSA) and swears that the quality of their meats are far superior to any of the commercially-raised proteins on the market. Located in Walterboro, Keegan-Filion is a favorite of Wild Olive not only because of their incredible product, but because they are good people who share the same beliefs regarding sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
